  • Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO)

The Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) program is applicable to all-public and/or governmental organizations and agencies. The Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) designation applies to individuals who have demonstrated prescribed levels of professional competency as a buyer in public and governmental purchasing, and have met the additional managerial function requirement for CPPO. Realizing that procurement standards and norms should be the same in all public purchasing environments, the UPPCC certification programs have been established to meet the requirements of all public purchasing personnel in federal, state, and local governments. If a C.P.M. certification lapses beyond the one year grace period, it cannot be reinstated. (ISM, C.P.M., 2015)
