  • Crowson Decision

    City of Richmond v. J.A. Crowson Co. was a legal case in 1989 in which the United States Supreme Court held that the City of Richmond Virginia’s minority set-aside program, giving preference to minority business enterprises (MBE) in the awarding of municipal contracts, was unconstitutional under the Equal Protection Clause.     A written notice that is issued to correct poor contractor performance. It documents performance issues and provides the contractor with an opportunity to remedy the situation.
